Tajinder Singh Tiwana-Young Social Worker

 The President of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), Mumbai Mr. Tajinder Singh Tiwana is a progressive thinking, a spirited young leader hailing from Malad. He graduated from the college of commerce and is currently pursuing a degree in law.



 Since the age of a child, Tajinder is involved in social work since a young age. He also played a key role in establishing and implementing numerous successful programs to promote harmony as well as national integration within the Malad region.

 As a passionate social worker He is aware of the pulse of the community and works in harmony with the opinions of those who are considering their situation in the same way as his.

He entered politics with the goal of serving the people. He believes in leadership , where it is said that the "Leader knows the way, goes the way and shows the way" so his leadership style is front-line and keeps good relationships with the other members of his team.

For Tajinder his late grandfather, Lieutenant Colonel Hari Singh Tiwana Ji is his model, having served as a member of the Indian Navy. In the course of Covid pandemic that lasted for years and decades, Tajinder was completely engaged day and night helping the inhabitants in Mumbai and believes it is the most rewarding achievement in his entire life.

He is part of a family of social workers with a reputation for excellence who have been working to improve the lives of Malad residents for over three decades.

His grandparents Shri Satnam Singh Tiwana Ji as well as Smt Jaya Satnam Singh Tiwana Ji were able to serve the citizens in Malad in the capacity of Municipal Councillors.

His mother, Smt Jaya Tiwana who is currently a Municipal councilor elected from Ward 47, had been the chairperson for the P/North Municipal Office for two years.

His parents have devoted their lives to social service. This has shaped Tajinder into a young leader with a keen interest in social work.

He is always working side-by-side with his parents to solve issues of the ward to ensure the benefit of all people.

As he was elected the President of BJYM in the year 2019 the responsibilities of BJYM have expanded beyond the borders of Malad to encompass the entire city of Mumbai and he is taking on with the same enthusiasm and leaving a strong impression for the younger leaders who will follow.
